Dotty Makes My Eyes Bulge Out

Alzheimer's Reading Room

I am trying to remind myself that many of the readers of the Alzheimer's Reading Room are new. Some of you might not be aware that Dotty is my mother and she has Alzheimer's disease.

Back in March - May, Dotty was writing her own column. You can type, Dotty Says, in the search box on the right and find some of her writings. Dotty is very popular on this blog.

Earlier tonight I said to Dotty, I am going to be on television next month. She asks when? I say, one month from today. She looks at the top of the newspaper which was sitting right in front of her and says, November 18.

As is usual, my eyes start bulging out of my head. I was surprised to say the least. I didn't realize that Dotty still knew November comes after October.

Two weeks ago I would have told you that Dotty was really going down hill. The last few days she is really with it.

Of course, there is no explanation but I can't help thinking is it because the "heat" finally went away in the last week?

Who knows.

We did go to the Banana Boat on Friday night and that really went well.

Coming soon another early morning podcast with Dotty.

In case you are wondering about the picture. Dotty did that on her own, all I did was snap away.
