The other night, I awoke to a frantic, “I can’t see!!!”
We’re on a mountain (too high:) neighborhood with no street lights and houses are on .25 or .33 acres so far apart.
I looked over and assured him he couldn’t see because it was night. “It’s 2 a.m.”
He fell back on the pillows, relieved. Then the humor of it hit him. We both laughed.
Initially I was choked as sleep is a rare commodity and mine was interrupted - but, I’ll always remember this with love and a laugh.
