The first time Bruce Vincent heard the words Alzheimer’s disease were when his mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. She was 43 years old.
“We had a conversation with her, and her thing was, ‘Don’t tell anybody. Don’t tell anybody,’ Bruce Vincent said. “I don’t know why. Maybe she thought that because her grandfather had Alzheimer’s, and he ended up in the mental institution.’’
Bruce Vincent, 48 years old, now suffers from early onset Alzheimer's disease, just like his mother and grandfather.

“I guess I’m afraid for my mother more than for myself,’’ Brian Vincent said.
