As Ontario’s population of residents 65 years and up continues to rise so do the realities of elder abuse. Elder abuse takes many different forms; it’s as varied and individual as its victims themselves. What doesn’t change, regardless of the type, is that elder abuse happens far too often and it must be stopped NOW.
On Tuesday June 21st, at 3pm, Thistlecreek Health Care will be hosting a Tea Party at their Oakville office – this event supports The Ontario Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse (ONPEA) and their mission to bring safety, protection and respect to every Ontario senior.
In collaboration with ONPEA, Thistlecreek Health Care is dedicated to raising awareness of elder abuse and neglect. Join us for a Cup of Tea to join the conversation and learn more about protecting loved ones. You can assist and help us to raise awareness by passing along this message and invitation to friends, family and colleagues. Through public education, professional training, advocacy, and service coordination we can make our communities safe for vulnerable seniors.
