why would bone lesion show on ct but not bone scan?

Posted by buggnyou69

this is what  the CT said....a well defined 2 cm area of hypodensity is present within the left ishial tuberosity extending into the medial aspect of  the acetabulum there appear to be internal sptations and sclerotic border

conclusion a 2 cm radiolucent defect/lesion in the left ishialtuberosity of uncertian significance correlate with nuclear medicine if bone scan is warrented.

had bone scan but tech said she couldnt see it ...why would it not show on bone scan?
