whats an atypical hemangioma adenoma?

Posted by yourithach

My mom had an MRI done on her liver 4days ago and i just go the result back earlier today. The result stated that..it reveals an 3 cm ill-defined rounded lesion in the medial segments of the left lobe of the liver which appears hypointense on t1- weighted images. Distention were include an atypical hemangioma, adenoma and less likely to represent hepatoma or metastasis in the absence or cirrhosis or malignancy. I would really appreciated if you can give me futher info and better understanble about this result. My main concern is..Ist it Cancer or Not? thank you.
