what is the most effective way to diagnosis an adrenal gland lesion

today i was told that a lesion was found incidentally on my adrenal gland during a ct scan. tomorrow an mri has been scheduled. what is the best way to diagnose a lesion on the adrenal gland? the lesion is about 1.5 centimeters in size
