Update

Posted Aug 07 2009 7:15pm
It has now been 4 ½ weeks since my operation and I am starting to feel human again, which has been nice.

I still get headaches but only once per week. Have felt nauseas on/off for the past week aswell, which I am hoping is just normal post operatively or some kind of virus.

Memory is slowly improving but still not back to my normal self.

1 month down not being able to drive and 2 more months to go! As the first month I have spent recovering from the op, I am only now starting to go a little nuts from not being able to just jump in the car and go places.

I have spent the past weeks reflecting on my diagnosis and I do feel extremely lucky that my tumor was:

1. Benign
2. Operable

Being told I only had a certain amount of time to live at the initial diagnosis, I then spent 7 weeks waiting, worrying, organising things and trying hard to be positive in any way I could before my op, which was so very very hard!

I am so thankful I have a more favourable prognosis than what I was originally told.

I am writing down all my questions for next Thursdays Neurosurgeon's appointment. As this tumor is rare and I also received my pathology report in the mail the other day which had alot of conflicting pathology to what I thought it would and has now added more questions to the growing list for my Neuro.
