I was so excited...I was invited to go see " This is It" with my friend....I was so happy to finally go see it.
The show starts off great, I am sitting there frozen in time, watching Michael......I am mesmerized by him, his talent, his voice, his moves. This guy was a genius.......he looks thin but he was never big.......his voice is brilliant, he still moves like a younger man....... magic.......
Suddenly my friend's cell vibrates....... ohhhh......BTW... his mom was rushed to the hospital last night with a bleeding ucler.... she is 91 , his brother is calling
We are now about 20-30minutes into the movie...... he walks out to return his brothers call.
I sat there.....still watching Michael......my friend was taking a long time, I hoped in my heart it was not bad news, the longer I waited, the more, I felt weird
My friend returns, sits by me and whispers in my ear, she is gone, he starts tearing......I suggested we leave
I comforted him in the lobby and offered to go with him to the hospital, but he said he was ok and would go meet his family there.
He spoke about the good times, the funny times with his mom
Was sad to see him, I did not know how what to say, I cried with him and then was thinking about how short life is, without notice.
There we were watching the movie and then everything changed, he decided to go with me tonight to relax and not freak out about his mom, I am happy he saw her last night, but unfortunately he was not there tonight before she passed. He is kicking himself.
