Jaylon's first day of Maintenance and spinal tap on Friday was delayed for another week due to his low blood counts. This was a blessing in disguise because he got to enjoy the Dodgers game without the grogginess of the chemo and spinal tap.
A few weeks ago Lola Sonia was watching a Dodgers game on TV and saw a ThinkCure ad. She also noticed Matt Kemp was wearing wristbands. Matt visited Jaylon on the second day he was at the hospital. Lola Sonia called Ingrid Garcia of ThinkCure! to find out how we could send Matt Kemp one of Jaylon's Wristband of Courage and Faith. We contacted Ingrid and got the mailing address to send the wristbands. Along with the wristband, Jaylon made a card for Matt Kemp thanking him again for the visit during his stay at the City of Hope.
After receiving the card and wristbands, Ingrid promised to deliver the items to Matt when the Dodgers came home from their road trip. A few days later we got a surprise call from Ingrid inviting Jaylon and family to the Dodgers game on Friday. A special thank you to Lola Sonia for contacting ThinkCure! The tour of the clubhouse. Thank you Alyssa Shuman(left) and Ingrid Garcia(right)for hosting us.
