Terror

Posted Nov 03 2008 9:03pm

I am so terrified. I can't stop reading about the IRS-III protocol, which was designed for another type of cancer (rhabdomyosarcoma) but seems effective for AT/RT. On the other hand, studies using the Head Start II protocol (with methotrexate ) seem successful, too. I believe that Vivienne's treatment protocol is most like Head Start.

Are we doing the right thing?? I have tried asking the doctors for this information, but the current protocol is so new (began in November 2007) that it is almost impossible for them to answer. How, as a parent, not a doctor, am I supposed to live with the decisions that I am making??
