Supporting Brain Tumor Research

Posted Jul 10 2009 11:02pm
After all this time, a local charitable organization supporting brain cancer research has just come to my attention!

The JAG fund ( website link ), located here in Doylestown, is as follows:

Established in 1989 in memory of Joel A. Gingras, Jr., the mission of The JAG Fund is to raise funds and increase awareness for brain tumor research. Since 1989, the organization has donated more than $925,000 to the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) through the untiring efforts of generous individual and corporate sponsors. In recognition of The JAG Fund's hard work, the ABTA established the Joel A. Gingras Jr. Research Fellowship in 1995.
Upcoming this summer are several fun and family-friendly events, designed for good times and research into treatment and cure of brain tumors. On July 31, the JAG fund will host a golf tournament at Pinecrest in Chalfont, PA, and in August, the fund will host a Delaware River tube float. Please visit the JAG fund's website directly linked above, for further information. The Martin family will be very proud and very happy to participate or attend events, and we encourage our friends and family to do so as well!
