My dad had stomach cancer last year and they removed it and the cancer was attached to the pancreas and they scraped it. Now he just went back to the hospital because of a hernia and they put the mesh netting in and found fluid but no sign of the cancer. But now the fluid is building up and the test is coming back no cancer but the symptoms are there. He is losing weight and getting very weak. They put him in the hospital to drain the fluid and kept him for a few days and said that there are lesions on his liver and wanted to do a biopsy but dad said no. Is this fluid a sign that dad has secondary cancer and it is causing the fluid in his belly area causing it to swell out? If so how long does my dad have when this happens and what else can we expect?
