My New Year Resolution is to find, observe, photograph and video a Bald Eagle. That’s a little different from the usual resolutions like; loose weight or quit smoking Well, I’m loosing weight already and I don’t smoke, so those two are out. If you have been following this blog for a while, you may know that I like furry animals and birds. Not so much love for; snakes, spiders, biting and stinging insects What does this have to do with “Fighting AML”? You may be asking yourself. I have been considering that same question myself. Ha! Ha! I can’t seem to get it out of my mind, so that is what I plan on doing. I finished the four chemo treatments in December and I think that I’m already seeing some reductions in the eosinophilic fasciitis in my arms.
Next Wednesday, January 19, 2011, I will be at two years post bone marrow transplant (BMT). Yeah! Officially, I will become a BMT long term survivor.
The last few days I have been stuck at home, like a caged bird. I caught a virus that has been going around. Runny nose, diarrhea, sore throat, and feeling tired Hopefully, I will be back to the new normal soon. This bird is looking forward to soaring like an eagle again.
Though youths grow weary and tired, And vigorous young men stumble badly, Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They willmount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary. Isaiah 40:30-31(New American Standard Bible)
