If you're a cancer survivor, should you or your family members be banking cord blood after having a child? Private companies offer, for a fee, to collect and store blood from the umbilical cord and placenta for future use in a sibling or relative who develops a blood disease, such as leukemia or lymphoma. But can banked cord blood really be a lifesaver for a donor or their family years later
