My blood test in Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center, this morning was pretty good with the exception of a slightly elevated White Blood Cell (WBC) count. We suspect that it is most likely caused by a sinus infection I have developed over the last week. I had an oral temperature of 99.6° F last night. I need to call them if it goes above 100.1° F. It took us an extra forty five minutes of drive time this morning to get there because of the snow leftover from yesterday’s blizzard.
My doctor prescribed an antibiotic for the next ten days to try and clear up the sinus infection.
I did some snow shoveling on Wednesday. That wasn’t smart. My body isn’t quite ready for that level of physical exertion yet. I was pretty tired out afterward and had a bloody stool. I’m better now. Hopefully, I’ve learned my lesson. I am a slow learner.
Good news; my next appointment, in Ann Arbor, is on my one year anniversary of my Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT). That is the next milestone in the BMT process.
Bad news; they will do another bone marrow biopsy on me. I don’t like those at all. I start my re-immunization shots. It will be a long day.
