For readers who are still learning about kidney cancer, I just have one thing to say: do not give in to the cancer. It isn't the death threat it was five or even ten years ago. In the last three years, researchers have discovered some incredible treatments that extend the life of cancer patients for years. In addition, the quality of life is much better than it used to be so, get in the frame of mind that you are going to do all you can to fight the Beast.
Inform yourself about RCC. Avoid the old information on the internet. It is outdated and unreliable. Your best bet is to contact the Kidney Cancer Association and other kidney cancer patients who can tell you the best ways to deal with your challenges.
