Ohio State study shows immunogene therapy combined with standard treatment is safe for patients with brain tumors:

A clinical trial has shown that a form of gene therapy is safe for treating a deadly form of brain cancer, even when combined with radiation therapy. The phase 1b trial was conducted at the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC – James) and at Methodist at Hospital in Houston, TX.

Among the research institutions NCI funds across the United States, it currently designates 66 as Cancer Centers. Largely based in research universities, these facilities are home to many of the NCI-supported scientists who conduct a wide range of intense, laboratory research into cancer's origins and development. The Cancer Centers Program also focuses on trans-disciplinary research, including population science and clinical research. The cente
