Vivi's C. Diff test came back positive, meaning that we have to treat with Flagyl again for 10 days and then re-test. This means we are in isolation for at least 10 more days, and was interesting given the news released today that C. Diff is far more common than was previously thought.
Vivi is again neutropenic, meaning her ANC (the indicator of the body's strength to fight infection) is at 300. A "safe" ANC is above 500, and a "normal" ANC is 1,500 or more. This means Vivi is at high risk of infection, and can't go out.
Fortunately, at least as of today while this is technically "bad" news, it's not a big deal. It is within the normal course of these things.
