I had a radical hysterectomy on Nov 18th, which also included the removal of 27 lymph nodes in the pelvic region. As a result I am suffering from Chylous Ascites (retention of the lymphatic fluid in my peritoneal cavity). It is extremely uncomfortable and have been prescribed octreotide. However, I would like to try to manage this affliction with diet. I have been told to eat a very high protein, low to non-fat diet. The challenge is, I need to gain weight as well. Does anyone have any recommendations for HIGH PROTEIN, HIGH CALORIE, LOW TO NON-FAT FOODS?
