Mucinous adneocarcinoma of unknown primary. Can anyone give me some kind of guidance?

Posted by jellie

My husband was just diagnosed with mucinous adenocarcinoma of unknown primary during a laparoscopy done due to severe abdominal pain, diarrhea and weight loss of 54 pounds in less than 2 months. The surgeon found and removed a large tumor that was pressing into his colon, and said there are 4 or 5 more masses in his abdominal cavity that she saw.

It's difficult to find information about his disease and prognosis, at least without knowing the primary.  Can anyone give me an idea of what his prognosis might be?
