Mouth sores with liquid morphine?

Posted by Laura

My wife is stage IV cancer and takes liquid morphine for pain.  She has developed cold sores under her tongue where she administers it.  Is this common and if so any suggestions.

Is she still on Chemotherapy?  ..Then that is the cause of the herpes infection, not the usage of liquid Morphine.  There is a concoction pharmacist's put together called Magic mouthwash. It is red cherry flavored, sticky and more like cough syrup, but used every 3 hours will ease and cure the mouth sores.  Herpes comes running out the nerve endings after chemotherapy. Horrible , predictable side effect.
