Things seemed to be going well for Jaylon the last couple of weeks. However when he went in for his CBC(Complete Blood Count) this afternoon his blood counts said otherwise. As you can see, his ANC is very low. The cause of this is due to the chemo he's been taking. The good news is the results for his liver improved significantly. Jaylon will be staying home from school for a few days and get a break from chemo to allow his counts to come back up. With a low ANC he is prone to infections so we don't want to take any chance of him catching a bug. Any fevers will mean a stay at the hospital.
He's really bummed that he will miss his baseball game on Friday. Another CBC is scheduled for next Wednesday. We hope by then he will be back in school.
