Is a bladder tumor serious, if the test came back abnormal and the wall of the bladder is thicker?

My mom is 58 and was diagnoised with a bladder tumor that came back abnormal. She has to take more test on monday drinking something that will

light her up on the test day so they can find out if more have spread. Does a bladder tumor serious? and can it be cured?
