Infection

Posted Nov 03 2008 9:03pm
Last night around 7:30pm, Vivienne went from zero to sixty (okay, from 98.6 to 100.4) in about 15 minutes. When we arrived at the hospital, she had a 104 degree fever.

Tylenol and vancomycin have helped, and after a bout of very severe nausea this morning she is now resting very comfortably, even finding the will to smile a little bit.

We do not know what type of infection she has, but the doctors have agreed she needs vancomycin treatment for at least a week. We are waiting for results on her cultures.
