i have just water retention in my feet and ankles i have had water pills but now my feet are red swelling is almost away is this

i have prostrate cancer and have just finished a course of radiotherapy but my feet and ankles were swollen and doctor gave me water pills which has reduced the swelling my feet are now red in colour is this normal
