I have a mass on my tongue muscle that a CT scan sees, but ultrasound doesn't. What tests can be done?

They couldn't do an ultrasound led biopsy. I was treated several months ago with antibiotics and prednisone, which didn't help. The lump is soft and believed to be on my tongue muscle. Is there any other testing that I could ask for to make sure it isn't cancer? Cancer runs in the family.
