It's been awhile, and there is a lot of backstory to tell. In the next few days, I hope to catch up on Vivienne's story, our lives, provide pictures and include video. I then hope to update regularly so that family and friends can connect with Vivi all the time, and to provide for myself an ongoing diary of this journey.
In the meantime, I have included links for two hospitals that I strongly request be supported. Le Bonheur and St. Jude here in Memphis have taken an incredible chance on Vivienne. Dr. Boop at Le Bonheur performed a tumor resection surgery that appears to have been very successful and significantly improved Vivi's condition, when other doctors said it was impossible. Dr. Gajjar at St. Jude will take Vivi on for chemotherapy and other treatments. St. Jude, as a result of generosity from around the world, assists families with no-cost housing, transportation costs, meals and all the incidentals of their child's medical challenges. I know from firsthand experience the difference this makes.
(For whatever it's worth, I want to state that neither of these institutions have asked me to provide these links or solicit donations or other volunteerism.)
