I have been averaging three BM's per day lately. Shortly after I eat I have to go. Sorry for sharing on that topic, but if you have a BMT you'll probably have to face similar issues too.
My stomach has been hurting, making a lot of noise and working overtime. I'm pretty sure that it is just GVHD of the stomach. I have had stomach aches almost from the very beginning. I first noted stomach pains back on Day 9. They did a biopsy on my duodenum that showed GVHD in February of last year. Our daughter shared a few stories she had written from her Creative Writing course last spring, with Kim and I, last Sunday afternoon. We didn't know that she had written them and she had previously decided to not tell us about them. Kim and I were in tears as we listened to her read the stories of her experiences of this ordeal from her perspective. I'm very glad she decided to share them with us. The caregivers and family members of cancer patients are Survivors too. I would recommend that you keep a diary or journal and track your feelings, progress and what happens. (I write notes on a calender and do this blog.) It is good to look back and see how far you have come and how things worked out. Upcoming tests and appointments: Next Tuesday, January 12: PFT, EKG, MUGA Tuesday, January 19, Eye Exam, Blood test, BMT Dr. visit, Pentamidine treatment, Bone Marrow Biopsy , Immunization Shots begin
Here is one tough girl: (As you can guess I have some anxiety about getting another bone marrow biopsy)
WARNING: DO NOT WATCH IF YOU KNOW THAT YOU DON'T LIKE SEEING MEDICAL PROCEDURES (MAY CAUSE NAUSEA)
