My mother recently was diagnosed with liver cnacer. We are having a biopsy done on the 11th to see if its related to her eye cancer or her breast cancer. She just finished with chemo 3 weeks ago and I would've thought that the chemo would've took care of this. Just wanted to find out if its worth fighting this.
I had stage 4 metastatic melanoma in 1993. In my mind cancer treatment is always a combination of medical interventions and the patient's immune system. Sometimes chemo can assist the immune system even if the benefits are not immediately evident. When faced with a similar question I also concluded that quality of life and pain management were things I considered in treatment options.
