My husband had a partial renal nephrectomy removing 1/5 of his right kidney. It was a 2 cm malignant tumor, encapsilated with good margins. It was removed and he has since had 2 CT scans and chest x-rays, (every 6 months) and were clear. Our physician has now told us his next one will be in 1 year. Recently, he had a complete physical and now he has anemia, 37 hematicrit, borderline hemoglobin, slightly raised creatinine and bun. Is this from the fact that he has had part of his kidney removed?
