day +153 version 3.0 getting through a cold/flu with a new immune system

note:
Version 3.0 what a concept but technically this is the 3rd version of my body thanks to modern medicine, I have been given the ablity to be on the 3rd version of my body.
What is even more interesting is to watch this version thrive and survive.
Even with all the hand washing, avoiding crowds, eating well, getting enough sleep and so on it still didnt keep a big bad virus from invading my body. Am I upset about this not really as sure running a high fever for days on end, having a headache that felt like my brain was splitting open, coughing so hard that I thought my left lung was going to come up and blood pressure that bottomed out to the point that I fainted and fell down a flight of 30 stairs is all not good but it was inevitable that eventually I would catch some thing after having my immune system reset by the stem cell transplant process. As much as getting sick with a cold or flu is not enjoyable it is enjoyable to watch ones weakened immune system rebuild it self and come back fighting when you need it most. Does this mean that I wont get a flu shot, because I want my newly reset immune system to relearn how to fight off new (to it) viruses? Forget about it, I might be crazy but I dont have a death wish. Not only that but getting vaccinations means I can rebuild my immune system from the ground up with out all the hassle of spending days or weeks in bed sick or contracting something ugly enough that I land up in the hospital or worse the icu. Getting immunized after some thing like a immune system reset is important, I mean its important for healthy people never mind someone like myself. Immunizations put a small amount of that virus that we dont want to get into our system then our immune system does the rest learning or in my case relearning how to protect the body from that virus becoming a full blown illness. My advice if your on the fence about getting the flu shot or some other immunization is look at the benefits verses the risks of getting the immunization. If you prefer to get a small amount of a virus and build immunity to it with out having to be put out for weeks on end with possible risk of hospitalization or even worse death get the shot, if you enjoy playing a game of chance hoping that things will turn out ok then dont bother but please dont spread your virus to others when you do get it, stay home and away from people as not everyone enjoys having to stay in bed for 10 to 15 days.
