Bone marrow aspirate; plasma cells have dark centers

Well, the bone marrow biopsy results weren't good. 30 - 40% plasma cells in the marrow and a plasma labeling index of 4. Meaning the myeloma is very active. Normal marrow has around 5% plasma cells. So it's Revlimid now. And there is evidence that it does work for some, even with previous treatment with thalidomide. Here's a good summary of Revlimid info from the IMF for those interested.
