My husband is 58 and recently diagnosed with solitary plasmacytoma on rib 7. Most blood and urine tests fairly normal; free serum light chains a bit high (FLC ratio (B) 1.79). Tumour is 5 centimeters, and that showed up in a routine chest x-ray 5 months ago. He has no symptoms. Is radiation essential? If it is, what else can he do to support his general health while having radiation? Thanks in advance for any help!
