We have a doberman, 9.5 years old, diagonsed with advanced cancer in his jawbone. Vet's recommendation is pain killers and making him comfortable until decision is made to euthanize.
My question is in regard to alternative medication(s) & diet (other than chemo) which may enhance his immune system's ability to activate and fight off the disease to the extent possible. Appetite remains strong, attitude is relatively good, pain does not appear to be great. Though he has lost sight in left eye and due to the pain killers is very sedate. I'll greatly appreciate any recommendations you may have. Thank you for your time and quick response.
