I wanted to let everyone know that the second printing of From Incurable to Incredible will be available through my publisher any day now. In the meantime, if you are coming here to buy the book, you can do so by visiting Amazon.

Saturday, I had the opportunity to meet and talk to people about From Incurable to Incredibleat the Komen Cincinnati Race for the Cure. Usually I’m walking in these events, so it was interesting to see it from a vendor’s point of view. It always brings me great hope that so many people and organizations are coming together to find a cure for breast cancer.

We were by the survivor booth, so I had a great opportunity to connect with some wonderful “partners in pink.” I had an interesting conversation with one woman about my book that got me thinking. She told me she “didn’t want to go there,” in regards to reading a book about terminal cancer survivors. Although From Incurable to Incredible is absolutely uplifting and inspirational, I can see her point of view.

When I was walking in Race for the Cure after being diagnosed with Stage II breast cancer, having it come back and as metastasic disease was my worst nightmare.

Kelly Reichart is a member of my support group,Pink Ribbon Girls, who has been so supportive of me and the book. She’s a wonderful person who helped form a very successful Komen team for her friend Tracy Messing who died of breast cancer at age 32.

Kelly graciously took time out of her busy schedule to be in my video talking about my book. She said that she, like all cancer survivors, has always been afraid of a recurrence. One thing she likes about the book is that it brings hope that even if the worst happens, it can be overcome. How true!

Speaking of testimonials, another wonderful survivor, Jody Schoger, wrote a beautiful piece about From Incurable to Incredible on her great blog, Woman with Cancer. Thanks Jody! Check it out and take a look at her great blog at: here: http://womenwcancer.blogspot.com/2010/09/incurable-not-so-fast-learn-what-these.html#init/publisher=/type=blogger/post_services=email
