Very long day

Posted Aug 25 2008 3:11pm
Just got home about 1/2 hour ago. It was a long day. Labs took awhile since I was chatting with the nurse drawing my blood. And with the first T&H treatment they like to push it slow and monitor close for an allergic reaction.

No allergic reaction so far!!

Had myself so worried and afraid that I made myself nauseous all day. Ugh. Like I needed that.....but what can ya do......I was afraid. I hate that chemo room. The nurses are so sweet but just thinking of that room curdles my tummy. I associate many negative things to it. And it's a busy place. That is SAD.

Glad I am home and the first dose is finished. Phew. Very groggy since they gave me 1 mg of Ativan then some Benadryl. The steroids didn't bother me this time but then Dr S cut the dosage in half to see how I would handle it.

I was lucky enough to bump into a very dear friend that I hardly see - she was there with her mother for her mother's check-up. We hugged so tight - I didn't want to stop. Sadie is so darn sweet and it felt so good to see her I started crying like a fool! I hope her mother's appt went well. You have the best smile ever Sades!

That's it for now. Lucky if I spelled everything correctly.

Over one hump - let's see how I do over the next few days...............................
