Today Donna’s hemoglobin increased to 8.9 from yesterday’s low of 7.0. Pulmonology changed the date to tomorrow for removing the pleural tube. And, at the moment the ups and downs of her fever continue without anything today of significance. We are hoping for some answers soon as the doctors’ teams are all communicating in trying to solve the puzzle. One thought was that maybe the pleural tube has a bug in it, so they will be doing cultures on it when they remove it tomorrow.
She is still having coughing spells after the breathing treatments, but the depth of the coughing seems to be improving.
