THURSDAY THOUGHTS - Tristan's Poem

TRISTAN'S POEM

After two failed attempts
Hematomas and suchWe waited and watchedYou were wanted so much.
Your mom watched her dietGot plenty of restWe knew with this careThat you'd be the best.
But still the uncertaintyThat state we all hatedLoomed in the airAs we watched and we we waited.

Then you came earlyWith tubes everywhereHelping you breatheYou even had hair!
You were a fighterRight from day oneYour parents were thrilledWith their newborn son.
Your strong personalityCame through from the startTo grasp all our loveAnd capture each heart.
We waited and watchedAt your pictures we gazedAs your confident spiritLeft us amazed.
Although I was illAnd I had not met youI felt you close byAs your spirit came through.
You've taught us of courageAnd how to endureAs life moves alongYou will teach us much more.

Plenty of peopleAre waiting to tend youAnd family loveThey are ready to send you.
The future looks brightMuch fun without endAs you meet little TamsinYour cousin and friend.
So upward and onwardOur brave little manWe're so overjoyedThat you're part of the clan.
You're growing and learningAnd doing so greatAnd one thing is sureYou were well worth the wait!
