After almost 2 weeks I finally got the results of my biopsy...no recurrence is present. Whew that was a long 2 weeks. It is something that you never want to go through especially once you have already gone through cancer because you already know what is around the corner ...where the first time you really do not know all that is involved. BUT it was all good except that in the end this scare was caused mostly by the severe burns and scars that I have from radiation that flared up...sometimes when I see the way I look and the pain I get I want to cry. My plastic surgeon said there is not much that can be done and so it looks like it is something I will always have to deal with. Anyway after the good results from the biopsy we got yesterday we started to think about where we could go for the holidays last night and this morning but by the afternoon that all changed. I had an ultrasound done on my abdomen on Friday and when I saw my family doctor today he told me that I have gallstones and have to have my gallbladder removed. Now I have to wait to see another surgeon and hopefully surgery will follow soon (it is elective surgery so more than likely it will be awhile unless I have another attack).
HoHum...Jean and I just keep plugging along. Jean still has to be off work for at least a few more months with his hand but then when you have 3 tons of steel slammed down on your hand it doesn't heal in a couple of weeks (Jean thought he would be back to work in a couple of weeks, surprise, surprise it has now been almost 4 months)..
A little bit of humor for you...Jean talked to our son tonight and told him my autopsy came back good (He really meant my biopsy, Lol). when I was told I had to have a mastectomy he told people I was having a vasectomy...never a dull moment around here and he always knows how to make me laugh.
Well life goes on around here and with Christmas coming up in a couple of weeks I really need to get some shopping done.
I have done 2 craft shows. The last one was a complete flop but this Saturday we are doing one more which is being put on by the Heart and Stroke Association and so it is for a good cause.
I hope everyone is getting in the spirit of Christmas!
