My goodness!!!! Our Pink Spin initiative has 9 participating gyms/fitness centers. What a great group of folks who are newly committed to Tour de Pink and Pink Ribbons Project. Check out the ever growing list at www.tourdepink.org to see what facilities are near you. Susan, Ginny, and Jocelyn developed this concept and have been remarkably effective in signing up Pink Spin Founders! And, of course, the Pink Ribbons staff members are key to paperwork and follow up!
Anyone can choose Pink Spin as a way to be involved with Tour de Pink and Pink Ribbons Project. You choose to spin on your own or to support the Pink Spin program at a participating gym/fitness center. You are a cyclist for the cause – just NOT out on the streets and NOT necessarily at some early hour on September 15! You spin at home or drive a short distance for spin opportunities. What a GREAT way to be involved with the ride and with Pink Ribbons!!! You receive a rider’s packet and you are committed to a minimum fundraising $125, which is the bare bones cost of a mammogram.
Naturally, I will be sad not to see you early on September 15 and, at the same time, I am totally delighted with your commitment to breast cancer education and care. Spin away: hours, miles, days of the week, at home and/or at a Pink Spin facility. You are a key part of facilitating the missions of Pink Ribbons and you ARE an integral part of Tour de Pink.
A new and intriguing opportunity!
Your Tour de Pink Ride Director,
Margaret L. Shelton
