The Dr. decided to postpone my chemo for a few days. My blood count was low and it seems I have developed an infection in my leg. With all the rain we had a climbing rose bush keeled over, I walked past and it caught the back of my leg. It was a scratch but unfortunately turned into Cellulitis. I really have not felt well for the past few days. A bit of a fever, but the concern was the back of my leg was very hot and red. Instead of chemo he put me on IV antibiotic treatment for the next 3 days. To be honest I am greatly relieved, I know I will still have to get it but I was just not mentally prepared for chemo. The last session still does numbers on my head. As strange as it sounds I have come to fear Chemo. I talked to a councillor about this and he said there was nothing unusual about it nor should I beat myself up for it. I told him that I wasn't even sure if I wanted to continue with chemo. He said ultimately the final decision would be mine all he could do is present the facts pro's and con..Yes of course I will finish it, there is no doubt. I am just not used to being on the outs with my body for long periods of time like this. Tomorrow will be a better day!
Update on the other mom:: We are not talking about a poor single mom working a joe-job for minimum wage. This is a woman that owns two spas in the area. Is looking to purchase a home for over $300,000 drives a Lexus and has huge rocks on her hands. So she is in a good place as far as finances she just feels she is entitled and she does not have to to do whatever she doesn't feel like that includes supporting her boys. Sherry I would never allow this young man to collect welfare. As long as he needs he can stay here she would be forced to pay through the courts if it became necessary.
Tonight she did contribute and without a word of a lie I was shocked at what her "contribution" was. 1 bunch of bananas 1 canteloupe ( her son does not like canteloupes) small case of 12 bottled water
All you can do is shake your head and wonder how they have the nerve to get up...
