It’s that time of year again…spring has started to show itself, the time has changed, Easter is around the corner, and I begin to fund-raise! I am so grateful to all of my donors - past, present and future! Thank you for supporting my 2008 journey with the Breast Cancer 3Day. Thank you for supporting Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund.
Battling breast cancer is hard work - hard work to overcome it, for the people affected -hard work to treat it, for doctors and other health-care professionals - and hard work to find the causes and cures, for breast cancer researchers. I will continue to work hard, and fight every day as no family should lose a mother prematurely (Or a dear friend, sister, wife, daughter, co-worker).
I have to send a special thank you to Marcia. Marcia - has been the first person for the past few years to donate immediately! Marcia, you know you are a hero of mine! My dear friend Julie has always been so supportive and encouraging. I also have a new donor family that has touched me in countless ways…Breunig’s - thank you. You guys are so special.
If you want to learn more about my efforts click on the tab above marked “2008 Letter.” I’ll be keeping all of my donors in mind, and in my heart, as I walk another 60 miles for the Breast Cancer 3Day. Walking is easy - cancer is not.
