My left breast is tender with with nipple soreness. Should I go get a second opinion?

Posted by Autumn

Hi, I am a 39 year old female and for the past few months my left breast has been sore and achy from my armpit down that side to the nipple. When I press on my armpit it is sore (not painful just tender). I also have a "sensation" of my milk coming in, like it felt when I nursed, when I mess with it. I went for a mamo 5 months ago (which I do every year) and it was normal. Then last week I went back to see my gyno about how it is still bothering me and he  ordered an ultrasound to put my "mind at ease". It showed nothing but slightly enlarged lymph nodes in both armpits. He said the radiologist listed them as benign and to call him if they get bigger. I am still worried about it though. My half brother died of lymphoma and my half sister has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Hers started out with pain also and her mamo came back normal but the ultra sound found it. Should I ask for a MRI? Could this be hormonal because I had a total hysterectomy 3 years ago and I am on Bi-Progesterone/Testosterone 2/50/4 HRT cream? I also had saline breast implants put in 11 years ago and the breast that is bothering me hemorrhaged one week after surgery. I never really had anymore issues with it till after I nursed my son 4 years ago. It seemed the implant shifted and fell slightly. Could this be the reason for the soreness? Just confused and worried!! Thanks for any advice you can give me.  Autumn

My Mom had an implant  that shifted and fell a bit and had it looked at by her doctor and they said that her Implant had leaked and they called it something... Contracture Sorry i don't remember the name. Anyway she went to have them removed and was going to get them replaced with the new implants and they did a biopsy and they found that she was stage 2 with invasive ductal carsinoma and she was possitive for the HER2 thing. SHe is doing Great and thank goodness found it. I think is better to be safe than sorry. She had no symtoms other than the implant shifting. Good Luck!!(Didn't mean to scare you just trying to help)
