My daughter is so cool!

Posted Aug 26 2008 4:22pm

When I entered my hotel room last Tuesday I saw this huge gift basket on the bed and thought - "Ut Oh they gave me the wrong room!" But as I took a closer look I realized my fabulously thoughtful daughter had played sneaky and brought in some goodies to enjoy for my stay before I arrived.
How sweet is that! I was so tickled I actually sat down and cried happy tears!
She had fresh mums and two cute pictures of Stella on the night stand, a very soft fleece blankie & robe (which I slept in/with each night,) a comfy nightgown, and a pretty hat box filled with goodies like magazines, scented candles, nuts & pretzels, a body scrub, fancy soap, slippers, etc! And she also put water, Gingerale and my fave italian ice in the fridge!
It was a great couple of days. I didn't want to leave. But am thinking I'll do it again just before the surgery.
Spent a lot of time with my "Bella Stella." Gosh - how she can brighten my heart and make me laugh, laugh, laugh! And anytime spent with all my children is a good time. Didn't get to do as much as I wanted with Kyle but will try next time. He's getting ready for Kindergarten - how exciting!
I had a massage but the masseuse wouldn't do a full massage until I get an okay from my doctor so it consisted of my head, neck and shoulders plus some Reiki. She refused to charge me because I didn't get what I originally wanted and no matter how much I tried she would not accept the cash. I thought that was so generously kind it made me cry.
Seems like I cried a bit over the four days but they were happy tears mostly!
Des & I had manicures & pedicures. I cannot ever have a pedicure again! I have extremely sensitive feet and my legs twitched and feet tickled for most of the pedicure. I was actually relieved when he was done! LOL
I rushed back home early Saturday to get to the dentist appt. but was pulled over enroute because I did a U turn while stuck in traffic (I only did it after I saw the trooper do it behind me) so I was late for the appt and had to cancel!! Ugh. Now I am on the "call when there is an opening" list. Greeeat. Good news is I didn't get a ticket - just a slap on the hand.
Lesson learned: just because a cop does it doesn't mean it's legal!
