Mothers With Cancer

Posted Aug 04 2008 7:14pm

Community. The American Heritage Dictionary defines the word as ”Similarity or identity - Sharing, participation, and fellowship - A group viewed as forming a distinct segment of society.”

The cancer “community” is one in which bonds form, and lasting relationships are made. Patients and caregivers need each other - they rely on each  other - and support one another. A great blog has begun that is a great example of this…Mothers with Cancer.

MWC is a group of sixteen moms fighting cancer. Some of  have been in remission for years; others are newly diagnosed, or battling a new recurrence. They all have something to say. You can also go to the “about us” page and discover their individual blogs. What an awesome community!
