I am going to the
Archiver's Scrapfest @ Mall of America - next week! Yippee! Woohoo!
I had already earmarked Sept. 5th - 10th to get away again so NO doctor appts. or testing, etc was scheduled on those days. Originally was thinking of going back down Cape to be near kids until I saw that the Scrapfest was happening within those exact dates! Meant to be I guess. I remember when Barb had posted to the Stamp Shack about the Scrapfest - I wanted to go way back then. But have since been caught up in
"other business" and forgot.
Made the decision to go quickly and booked the plane & hotel room yesterday morning. Also was emailing back & forth with Sherri about it then we chatted via phone too. So excited to meet her and the rest of the women! My first time to Minnesota also. And the time will speed right by so when I get back I will only have 1 more day until surgery.
Woke up this morning and the first thoughts swirling through my brain were about the Scrapfest not BC. Refreshing change.
This is a risk for me since I am not a
"people person." I am not good with small talk with people I don't know real well and I can get quite shy and introverted. Once I know someone well I can be a regular
"Chatty Cathy!" But even so - I tend to spend most of my time with myself. So going to meet all these wonderfully outgoing, vivacious women is a little scarey to me. Will I fit in? Will they like me in person? Will I say stupid things? LOL
BUT
I jumped in anyway and booked before I had time to worry. hehehe It's good to take risks, stretch your spirit, face a fear.
(Not that I don't have enough fear in my life as it is!) But this is a healthy fear/risk. Totally different.
I am going to be fine. It's going to be fun! And after this I will remember their voices, laughter, smiles and styles to go with their emails, comments, personal blogs and SS posts. Makes it all more dimensional, richer, deeper.
Jennifer & Tami will be missed along with my Ladybugs. I am hoping not too far into the future I will get to meet J & T.
I have to go shortly to have those teeth pulled! Not looking forward to it but hey! who does? LOL
