It seems like just yesterday when I put out a request for readers so I could break the 1,000-visitors mark. I just checked my stats today, and Miracle Survivors has had more than 4,000 unique visitors come to the site since it began in September.
About half of you come back; the other half just visit one time. The majority of you live in the US and come from every state except Wyoming. Visitors are also in 64 countries worldwide. The top three are Canada, the UK, and Romania. Yes, there is someone from Bucharest who regularly visits this blog. If you’re out there, please leave a comment. We’d love to hear from you!
OK, I always say statistics don’t matter when it comes to a cancer diagnosis. So why am I focusing on these numbers? Because it makes me feel connected to all of you, that’s why! I find it very exciting to think that someone in London, Bucharest or Missoula, Montana is visiting and perhaps getting something from reading this. I feel it is my calling to reach out and help others through my writing. And I know it helps me…probably more than it helps you.
And it’s not just about what I write. Many people have told me they have gotten alot from the comments people leave. I think in a way, it’s a lot like building a community. So here’s my challenge. If you haven’t commented before, here’s your chance. Please tell us a little about yourself, why you visit this site, and the general vicinity where you live.
I’ll put your names in a hat. If I pick your name, you’ll receive a free copy of my book, From Incurable to Incredible, when it is released.
And while you’re at it, please pass this site along to anyone you feel would benefit from it. Let’s see how long it will take to reach the 5,000 mark!
