Just today I received my official acceptance to what will most likely be one of the most important events of my life - The 2008 LIVESTRONG Summit. The Summit will take place on July 24-27, in Columbus, OH on the Ohio State University campus in Columbus, Ohio. The Lance Armstrong Foundation identifies only 1,000 current and potential leaders who are champions for the cause in their communities, states, and nation. I so excited to be accepted as 1 of the 1000 people!

LIVESTRONG Summit delegates are inspired by esteemed conference speakers. Lance Armstrong, Founder and Chairman of LIVESTRONG (The Lance Armstrong Foundation - LAF) will be an integral part of the summit.  At the Summit, LAF will be hosting the LIVESTRONG Presidential Townhall on Cancer. Senator John McCain will participate by sharing his cancer plan with delegates and the Columbus community. LAF has also invited Senator Hillary Clinton and Senator Barack Obama to participate.LAF also announced the following esteemed keynote speakers for the LIVESTRONG Summit: Dr. Richard Carmona, former U.S. Surgeon’s General; Dr. Harold Freeman, Ralph Lauren Cancer Center; and Stefanie Spielman, cancer advocate and wife of NFL linebacker Chris Spielman.

What would YOU ask these people if you could pose just one question?

I’ve chosen Grassroots Advocacy as my track…working to develop the skills necessary to develop grassroots power, mobilize support and influence decision-makers at the local, regional, state and national level. I cannot wait!

(If you are interested in helping me get there - let me know)
