Joint achiness

Posted Aug 23 2008 10:50pm

It started a few weeks ago. Thought it might have been due to so much walking or mowing the lawn, etc. but it is still here and spreading. My hands, tops of feet, butt, shoulders, knees, upper back, thighs, underarm, neck, hips. It is bearable so far without pain meds. Towards evening it intensifies. Moves around - can feel it ache in my neck for a few minutes than my butt then my feet, and so on. Strange. But hey! All this cancer and treatment crap is strange. I have lost some strength in my hands from it too. Tough to open the pill bottle in the evening.

From what I have read this is a normal side effect from chemo. It can last for months or even years. It can get worse or not. Will have to wait and see what happens. I guess it was a delayed side effect for me. Aren't I lucky?

I will be seeing Dr S in 3 weeks and will chat with her about it.

Of course she could do a bone scan to make sure it is not from the cancer spreading to my bones. Highly doubtful so won't fret.
The fatigue is still hanging but I keep working past it all. So far I have been able to keep walking and keep moving throughout the day.

Hoping this too shall pass. Soon!
